Upon seeing the dawning sky
I knew I had woke to late
My beloved awaits
Where the river flows freely
Running as a mad woman may
I reach where he awaits
To only find a cape
Where the river runs freely
Falling to my knees with a great
Burden upon my slender shoulders
My beloved now gone past
Where the river runs freely
I stand and vow upon that place
We will reunite someday
For now I turn away from
Where the river runs freely
Years have passed since then
And the river no longer flows freely
I walk down to that place
Where the river flows freely
There he stands once again
I cry upon his grave
I beg to go back to that time
Back to where the river runs freely
I knew I had woke to late
My beloved awaits
Where the river flows freely
Running as a mad woman may
I reach where he awaits
To only find a cape
Where the river runs freely
Falling to my knees with a great
Burden upon my slender shoulders
My beloved now gone past
Where the river runs freely
I stand and vow upon that place
We will reunite someday
For now I turn away from
Where the river runs freely
Years have passed since then
And the river no longer flows freely
I walk down to that place
Where the river flows freely
There he stands once again
I cry upon his grave
I beg to go back to that time
Back to where the river runs freely
