Concierto No.1~ Aurora

Hello Wonderlandians,

I have decided to include little mini stories of my adventures at concerts. I go to quite a few of them, although not too many this year. I have a very consistent concert buddy, his name is Jason you will probably hear me mention him a bit in this Concierto series.

This past Wednesday I got a chance to see Aurora, she hasn't quite reached main stream I believe. She was a fantastic performer and I was fully engaged in her performance. She put on such a great show and she is only 19, I expect great things from her.

I wasn't sure if she was going to have someone else perform before her, but boy am I glad she did! I ended up falling in love with the opening band as well. The opening band went by Tor Miller and he has got some pipes on him. I went home and bought his album asap.

Overall a great night!

Hairspiration No.10- Blue Locks

Hello Wonderlandians,

Today I have my latest hair color for you! I have gone blue once again :D

I have to say that having blue hair is probably my favorite color so far. In second place would probably be pink, believe it or not.

Here we have Poseidon in action:

I also find there is an increase in hair compliments whenever I have blue in my hair. I get compliments regardless of the color I have, but I notice even more compliments when I have blue hair. I wonder if it just suits me the best <3

I have a couple concerts I will be writing about coming up and I have yet to decide on a title for these posts. I'll try and figure it out before the next one comes and goes.

Hairspiration No.9- Pretty in Pink

Hello Wonderlandians,

I want to attempt and keep you guys more updated on my hair adventures. The last color on my hair was Wrath by Arctic Fox Hair Dye, I am seriously in love with these dyes. I haven't really tried anything else since finding them.

Here is what my hair looked like, when it was actually very faded:

I am very bad at taking pictures when I first put a color in, I will try and remedy that.

The color may look slightly purple in tone and that's because the color I had in prior was purple. I grew a bit impatient as the purple faded and jumped the gun and dyed my hair pink.

My current hair color is a post that will be coming up fairly shortly :)

So much has happened....

Hello Wonderlandians,

I am sorry for the lack of posting. I was recently admitted to the hospital for a pretty bad infection in a preauricular sinus (a little ear pit on my ear). My whole right side of my face was swollen and I ended up being in the hospital for 6 days. Bleh! Not only do I hate going to the doctors, but I am terrified of needles.

Anyway...I am on antibiotics for a month now and will get the ear pit surgically removed at some point. I haven't been wearing any makeup pretty much since March started. I am trying to get my crap together and do some long awaited product reviews.

In the meantime, I will probably be posting some photography things I have been working on. I will also put up a photo-shoot that has long since passed, but I never put pictures up...ooops

Until Next Time!!!

Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Cushion Foundation Review

Hello Wonderlandians,

I have another review for you today. I keep seeing these cushion foundations online and I guess they finally made their way into the drugstore. Mind you this one was not particularly cheap for drugstore.

I originally got this compact in Light/Medium, but that was waaaaay too dark for me. I went back and switched it out for Light instead, which to be honest also seems a bit dark for me. It might have to do with the undertones for the foundation itself though. I have yellow/neutral undertones.

Alice Points:
-pretty decent coverage
-easy to travel with
-cutest packaging
-blends really nicely to the skin
-comes with good things for your skin

Red Queen Points:
-runs dark which is not good for paler girls than I

That's what I have for you today. Don't forget to join this sight to become a Wonderlandian and to keep up with my latest posts. Until next time!

Customized Elf Palette

Hello Wonderlandians,

I have for you today a customize-able palette I have made using the Elf palettes I own currently. I mentioned I would do this in the post introducing the latest elf palettes I purchased.

Elf Palettes I own:
  • Contour Palette
  • Illuminating Palette
  • Blush Palette (Dark)
  • Blush Palette (Light)
As I mentioned before, these palettes are great. What I really like about them though, is that each individual color pops out from their frame fairly easily. With this knowledge I set out to make my own individual palette, perfect for traveling. The mirror that comes with all these palettes is a good size and is perfect for getting ready on the go.

Top L: Contour, Top R: Illuminating; Bottom L: Dark, Bottom R: Light
The hardest part was deciding what to go in the palette. I couldn't decide whether I wanted 2 blushes or 2 highlights. In the end I went for 2 highlights.
My own travel palette: 1 blush, 1 contour shade, 2 highlight colors
I ended up with a palette I can travel with and have most of my basics on me. This makes it easy and hassle free to travel with. The colors may be a little chalky, but I can work with that.

That's all I have for now and until next time! Don't forget to hit the join this site button to become a Wonderlandian and receive my latest posts.

-have a nice mousse like texture
-the doe foot applicator on these is seriously AMAZING!!!
-good color selection
-seriously though, that doe foot applicator...

Red Queen Points:
-don't mattify all the way
-come off with eating and drinking

I give them 7 out of 10 tarts

Elf Contour & Illuminating Palettes Review

Hello Wonderlandians,

Today I have the Elf Contour and Illuminating palettes to show you. I am very excited about these palettes. Contouring and highlighting were a big thing in 2015 and I am very excited that there are now growing in drugstore options.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that Elf was one of the first drugstore makeup line to provide these (I apologize if I am wrong). I saw them first on Jessica Braun's YouTube channel or jambeauty89. I grew very excited about these products and hoped they would be in my local drugstores soon.

You can now find these palettes in Target. Exciting for all of us physical buying type of people.

L-R: Contour Palette and the Illuminating Palette
Here are both palettes in all their glory. Aren't they beautiful ^_^

I really love these palettes, they're nicely pigmented and are very affordable. They also come with a very nice mirror and make a great traveling item to have. Also each of the individual colors pop out and I'm probably going to make a customized palette from these.

L-R: Contour Palette- bottom right, bottom left, top left, top right

L-R: Illuminating Palette- bottom right, bottom left, top left, top right
Alice Points:
-good pigmentation
-affordable
-nice selection and color range

Red Queen Points:
-chalky and can leave fallout

8 out of 10 tarts

Hope you enjoyed this mini review and swatches and until next time! Don't forget to hit the join this site button to get all the latest posts!

I bought some Kigurumis!

Hello Wonderlandians,

Today I have an interesting product review. I bought some Kigurumis for my friend and I. We bought these at www.kigurumi.com and they are probably one of my better impulse buys. I picked up Midnight Cat and Ghost Wolf from their classic onesies selection.

As you will see in the pictures to follow, we are very happy with them.

They are very comfortable to wear and actually provide you with some warmth, which is nice these Winter months. In fact sometimes I over heat in this thing, so I wouldn't wear this in the Summer.

As you can see from these pictures we are quite happy with our purchase!

I bought these on a whim, as mentioned above, but I did have intentions on purchasing some regardless. Best.Decision.Ever!!!

Things to keep in mind:
-My friend is 5'11'' and he said that he can wear this comfortably without pants, but with pants its a little short
-I myself am 5'5'' and it fits rather well

Overall 10 our of 10 tarts :)

That's all for now and until next time!

Hairspiration No.8 ~Wicked Plum

Hello Wonderlandians,

I have done it once again and dyed my hair. This time I decided to give a little color mixing a go. This is what I got as a result:

I am honestly obsessed with my hair color right now and as you can see from the title of this post I have even given the color its own name ;)

I almost own all the Arctic Fox hair dyes with the exception of Neon Moon, Cosmic Sunshine, Transylvania, Iris Green, and Sunset Orange. I do all own other colors and a couple back ups of my favorites.

To achieve this shade I mixed Purple Rain and Wrath.

I can't give you specific measurements, since all I did was mix together what I had left over from each bottle. I can say it was about a equal parts, maybe just a bit more Purple Rain since the bottle had a little more.

This was a fun adventure for me and the results were fantastic, I highly recommend trying it. Please be weary of color combinations and keep to like colors. If you are familiar with color theory at all it will come in handy.

That's all for now and until next time!

Hairspiration No.7~ Vitamin C Fading Method

Hello Wonderlandians,

Recently or somewhat recently I had decided to try out the grey fad color going around. Due to the sheer number of colors  y hair has gone through, this proved to be a rather interesting turn of events.

The Walk Through:

Prior to the going grey, I had purple in my hair which had faded out to this:

I then took some One 'n Only Color Fix and removed the remnant purple, but it didn't lift all of it as it has in the past. I think this was mostly due to visibility on my end, most of the product that stayed was towards the back of my head.

Not noticing this sooner, I went ahead and began to tone my hair grey with the Wella Color Charm Liquid Permanent Hair Color Additive in Cool Violet (#050), which did turn most of the parts that had the color lifted grey. Where the remnant purple was however, went even more purple with a hint of grey...so I added some Overtone Silver dye on top. I tried rocking this funky grey/purple/blue/green color for a bit, but I couldn't do it.

So the next step I took was to wash my hair everyday for about a week and then use the Vitamin C method to fade out my grey mistake.

What You Need:

  • Vitamin C Pills/Tablets
  • Head and Shoulders (or any clarifying shampoo)
  • Dawn Dish Soap (or any dish soap)

The Mixture:

  1. Crush some Vitamin C pills into a powder. Try and make it as finely milled as you can, this will make it easier to apply.
  2. Add in about a teaspoon of dish soap
  3. Add in clarifying shampoo. I added in enough to have enough product for my hair. Which ended up being quite a bit for my long hair.
  4. Mix these 3 things together until you have sort of a foamy product.
  5. Apply to areas you would like to fade the color.

This picture that follows is the before and after of using this mixture on my hair.
It actually lifted quite a bit and I was very happy that my hair didn't feel any more damaged. This was my hair prior to applying a second dose of the Vitamin C mixture to my hair, I mostly concentrated the product on the purple bits with a bit of help from my mother.

I unfortunately did not take a picture after this, but the purple did lift quite a bit more and left it looking closer to a very very faded pink/purple color. Which worked just fine for the color I would be doing next on my hair.

That's all for now and until next time!
